Secondhand Gift Giving

Anyone else going to a birthday party every other weekend? Can we start normalizing second hand gifts, please?!

If you're okay with buying second hand toys, kitchen items, and clothes for your kids and loved ones throughout the year, why would the holiday season be any different?

Buying second hand keeps items out of the landfill, can make gifts more thoughtful and intentional, and is super friendly on the wallet!

Some tips to help make second hand gift giving feel awesome

  1. First and foremost, make sure the recipient is comfortable receiving second hand gifts, as some people just aren't.

  2. If you are giving a second hand gift, make sure it is in like new condition, as if you bought it from the store. No one wants to receive old dirty items.

  3. If it doesn't come in any packaging, as most second hand items don't, be sure to wrap it up nicely and give it a nice presentation. Just because it doesn't come from the store doesn't mean it can’t look like it came from a store!

What are your thoughts? Are you here for second hand gifts?
