When I became a mother, I had really had no idea what to expect, and definitely didn’t expect it to be so hard. I wasn’t yet on social media, and when I looked around, everyone else appeared to be breezing through it (so I thought). I felt like a failure and incredibly alone. Then I began making mom friends and quickly learned that others shared the same feelings.
Motherhood has real challenges, and your feelings are valid. It became important to me to share some of the hardships of motherhood , the real life parts of motherhood, in hopes of allowing another new mom feel a little less alone. So, if you’re a new mom (or in any stage of motherhood) , I hope you know that you’re doing a great job and are exactly who that tiny human needs.
Motherhood may not be all smiles, laughs, and tiny handprints, but those are the moments that make everything else worth it!
