Meet Isabel

Who am I?

Such a loaded question! Standardly I would say something like, I am Isabel, a mama of two. I am trained in early childhood education and worked in a daycare for four years before having my own babies. I love cloth diapering, and doing my best for the environment with so much room for improvement.

But that's just the who I am in the way that we are used to introducing ourselves. It's really only a small part of me. Well, my kids are my whole world. There is more to me than what I studied in school and how I diaper my children!

Yes I am a mother. I am proud to be a mom. That is a huge title. With it comes so much more than just being called ‘mom’. It comes with anxiety, depression, fear, confidence issues, sleeplessness, and a love like none other.

I am more than a mother. I was someone before I was a mom. Before I was someone's personal chef, chauffeur, butt wiper, booboo fixer, and hug giver to name a few.

I was an individual. I was just Isabel. I played sports, exercised regularly..well semi regularly! I traveled. I set alarms to get up in the morning! I was spontaneous.

So , who am I now?

I am all of these!

I am a mother. I am an individual. I have dreams. I have insecurities, so many insecurities. I have fears, even more than insecurities. I love the smell of the seasons changing. I love laughing until my belly hurts. I love getting dressed up and going out. I love staying in wearing my comfies eating too much over seasoned popcorn (my favourite kind of popcorn!)I enjoy long drives on backroads listening to old country music too loud with the windows down. I still love all of these things, and am all of these people.

I am just more than that now too.

I am a mom. I am more than just a mom. I am a constant work in progress.

I am Isabel.
